Britney Spears´ fans are plotting to protest the star´s upcoming conservatorship hearing in Los Angeles with a Free Britney rally.
The Stronger star´s dad Jamie was named her conservator in 2008, when he took on responsibility for Britney´s welfare and finances following her public breakdown.
However, when Britney entered rehab last year (19), rumors emerged that she was actually being kept at the facility against her will by Jamie - who has now handed over his duties to the star´s longtime care manager, Jodi Montgomery, until at least 22 August (20).
The star is now due back in court later this month for a new hearing to assess the situation, after a hearing about the future of the arrangement was delayed earlier this year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
In a post shared on Instagram by the Diet Prada page, those behind the account publicized the gathering, writing: "The law is corrupt and so are the middle-aged men who are ruining a thriving, successful woman’s life. Britney has a court hearing coming up on July 22nd. Check our stories for a swipe up of actionable items you can do to help #FreeBritney."
The rally will take place outside the Stanley Mosk Courthouse in Los Angeles, California, with organizers requesting fans "wear a mask and observe social distancing guidelines" amid the pandemic.
Despite fans´ concern, Britney recently took to Instagram to insist she´s fine and feeling "happy" amid ongoing concerns for her wellbeing, alongside a Bible quote, which reads: "Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong."
In the caption, the Toxic singer penned: "I get how some people might not like my posts or even understand them, but this is Me being happy ..... this is Me being authentic and as real as it gets!
"I want to inspire people to do the same and just be themselves without pleasing others ..... that´s the key to happiness," she added.
