While I did once shake the hand of Ronald Reagan (in the summer of 1980 in Detroit, Michigan, during the Republican Convention, several months before he was voted into office as the 40th president of the United States), I never shook the hand of Donald T. Regan, who served as Secretary of the Treasury during Reagan's first term. I suspect, however, that, like Mr. Reagan, Mr. Regan has a solid, manly handshake.
