Because Suck never publishes the kind of long, well-written, presumably edifying, never-ending articles that The New Yorker does, there's really no need here for comic relief in the form of droll one-panel cartoons about surprisingly sensitive lions or old married couples doing something wacky around the house. While we often think of similar scenarios ourselves, there simply isn't anywhere to put them, as such subtly refined amusements would undoubtedly seem out of place among the short, haphazardly written, slightly annoying articles that Suck is in the habit of publishing.
